Mark Z. Danielewski – Cat ‘o Nine Tales

November 24, 2012, 8:55 am

Shortly before Halloween, I was asked by friend and author, Mark Z. Danielewski, if I could paint a tuxedo jacket for him. He needed something wear on his book tour for the release of The FiftyYear Sword, as well as its’ Halloween performance at REDCAT here in Los Angeles.  It was a traditional conductor cut, with tails in the back. Mark cleverly came up with idea of painting nine cats, though we did play around with a few ideas.  Below are some ‘in the making’ images, as well as the jacket in action. Enjoy!
